West of the Rift
Rolling plains and undulating hills produce varied, distinctive liquors with strength and character.
- Kericho: Known as Kenya's tea capital, producing typically malty teas with a deep red liquor.
- Nandi: Recognised for bright, smooth cups, delicate floral aromas and neat cuts true to grade.
- Bomet, Kisii and Nyamira: Smallholder regions producing golden, full-bodied cups, coppery infusions and a pronounced punch.
